Arrecife, Lanzarote, Canary Islands

Arrecife is the capital city of Lanzarote (Lanzarote is one of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean) – Spain.

It was made the island’s capital in 1852. The city owes its name to the rock reef (“arrecife” being Spanish for “reef”) which covers its local beach.

Population: 64,645 (2020)

Arrecife is a port city on the east coast of Lanzarote, one of Spain’s Canary Islands.

We were here May 22, 2023. A very pleasant town. I recommend to visit or spend 1-2 weeks vacation here.
