Cape Town (Africaans: Kaapstad) is the second-most populous urban area in South Africa after Johannesburg. It´s also the capital and primate city of the Western Cape Province.
By the way, did you know that South Africa has three capital cities? 🙂
South Africa is fairly unique compared with other countries, as it boasts three capital cities instead of just one. The reason for the three cities is that there is one for each branch of the government in the country. The government is divided into three different branches, the legislative, executive and judicial.
Cape Town is the legislative centre of the country and also the seat of Parliament.
Pretoria houses the executive branch and is the seat of the Cabinet and the President.
Bloemfontein is the judicial branch and where the Supreme Court of Appeal is based.

Cape Town is famous for its harbour, for its natural setting in the Cape Floristic Region, and for such well-known landmarks as Table Mountain and Cape Point.

As of 2014, it´s the 10th most populous city in Africa and home to 64% of the Western Cape´s population. It´s one of the most multicultural cities in the world, reflecting its role as a major destination for immigrants and expatriates to South Africa.

In 2014, Cape Town was named the best place in the world to visit by both the American New York Times and British Daily Telegraph. ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜 💓 💗 💖

Population: 4.618 million (2020)

When on a plate and a crocodile and an ostrich.. 😮
If you are in Cape Town, you love meat, and in addition to the usual beef, chicken, lamb, you want to try exotic meat, go to the Belthazar restaurant. They have ostrich, crocodile fillet, springbok, kudu, impala, wildebeest, game kebab on the menu.

One of the best local wines.
