Black & Veatch to build Buckeye’s solar project

US petroleum logistics and terminals company Buckeye Partners is to build a 270 MW solar project in Texas, US, in conjunction with global engineering company Black & Veatch.

Project Parker will consist of more than 500,000 solar panels, and will be build on two adjacent sites in Waco, Texas. It is expected to be completed in early 2023. Black & Veatch, which installed 949,000 KW of solar generation capacity in 2021 alone, will provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services.

Project Parker will further expand Buckeye’s growing renewable portfolio and add additional momentum to our ESG initiatives and continued progress in the space,’ says Todd J Russo, Buckeye’s executive vice president, strategy and alternative energy.
